rotational moldingThere are a few different types of molding that we use at Advanced Packaging, Inc. One of the most common types of molding that we do is rotational molding (also known as roto-molding). Rotational molding can be used for many types of custom cases, including medical cases, military grade cases, and waterproof shipping cases, just to name a few. While injection molding is also a good route to go (especially if you need something inexpensive and quick), sometimes roto-molding works better. It all depends on what you need and what your budget looks like!

Benefits of Roto-Molded Cases

  • Quick production – Roto-molding isn’t quite as fast as injection molding, but it’s still a quick process when you need a quality product in a short amount of time. The best part about roto-molding is that you don’t lose any of the quality in the process. Roto-molded cases come out even and tough, sparing you the stress of the case cracking or the contents of your case breaking.
  • Customization – You can easily customize the case to whatever your custom case needs are and still get a mass production of your quality case. We can add pre-made sheets of plastic to the molds for different effects before we add the melted polymers to create your custom molded case. Because of this, instead of having a separate piece in the center that can break, you’ll have an entire uniform case that is less likely to come apart and is nearly seamless.
  • Low cost – The startup cost to create a making for rotational molding, as well as parts for rotational molding, is fairly inexpensive. Low startup costs means less money out of your pocket. We can manufacture quality, less expensive products by using the roto-molding process. Just because the cost is lower doesn’t mean you’re getting any less quality, though. The thickness of the case will be even and tough.
