Field transport of delicate stack-gas analysis equipment required a rugged container with multi-cavity cushioning. To satisfy the requirement, we designed this hinged-style case with fabricated polyurethane cushioning that provided the required protection while transporting the complete system.

This challenge was two-fold:

Provide an engine manufacturer with a precise means of securing a 750-lb. jet engine rotor during multiple shipments
Make rapid loading and unloading of the engine easy

We solved this complicated dual need by designing and developing a rugged container that features a precision holding fixture for damage-free shipment plus easy accessibility for rapid loading and unloading.

This custom-designed medical-instrument container for a CAT-scan component provides both physical and thermal shock protection for the valuable and highly sensitive crystal and detector assembly. In addition to increasing the container life cycle from 5 to 100 trips and reducing shipping weight by 130 lbs., the container's high thermal efficiency permitted the first successful shipments during the winter season.
