double entry rack mount case

Single lid cases and double entry rack mount cases both support system integration. The right one for you depends on the size of your equipment.

When you’re in need of a custom case to protect sensitive equipment, transport cargo into extreme areas, or keep your daily work tools safe, there are endless options. One important aspect to consider is whether you need a single lid case or a double entry rack mount case. Will you be fine with only accessing your items from the lid of a case, or will you need to be able to work with your equipment more intensely while it is in the case? Here are a few important differences between these two types of cases to help make your decision a little easier.

What’s the Difference?

While many single lid and double entry cases look similar from the outside, their operation and applications are pretty different. Single lid cases open from the top and store items in a custom cut foam cushioning. Double entry rack mount cases open on either end, not the top. These cases have internal racks that allow for systems integrations by mounting items to the welded aluminum rack in the case. System’s integration is also possible with single lid cases, but are usually only used for smaller applications like mobile broadband solutions.
