Top of the Line Technology
|To handle the more complex cushion requirements, we use a state-of-the-art waterjet foam-cutting machine. The system uses a computer controlled motion system for faster, repeatable cutting that is more dimensionally accurate than other methods of cutting used commonly today. AutoCAD drawings, transmitted directly from engineering, are used to direct the cutting paths. A high velocity stream of water produces a kerf-free cut for more accurate assemblies. Easily handles complex, curved and detailed shapes, for long or short runs. A wide variety of types and densities of foam materials can be cut including 2 pounds/cubic foot (32 kg/m3) polyester/ether urethane foam up to 9" thick and 2 pounds/cubic foot polyethylene foam up to 6" thick.

Additional equipment includes a computer controlled abrasive-wire-contour cutter. Its high-speed abrasive wire cuts thicker foam materials. This system also uses AutoCAD drawings, for accurate and repeated cuts of various foam materials up to 60" in depth.
