All of our cases are made from material with unparalleled durability. The sole purpose of a case is to protect its contents, which is why we build our cases to last out of only the best materials. One of these materials is thermoplastic.

Various types of polymers have been used for case construction for many years now due to their combination of durability and malleability to create any shape that may be needed. A thermoplastic is made from polymer resins and is so named because it can be subjected to different temperatures and its composition will change based on temperature. For example, at high temperatures, thermoplastic becomes a homogenized liquid. When cooled, it hardens, and when frozen, it becomes rigid and subject to fracture. Thermoplastics can transition between these states repeatedly, making them recyclable.

There are numerous types of thermoplastics, many of which are commonly found in everyday use. Compact discs, food storage containers, water bottles, and eyeglass lenses are all made from the thermoplastic polycarbonate. Polyethylene is used to make shopping bags, shampoo bottles, and bulletproof vests.

Advanced Packaging uses thermoplastics in our custom medical cases. It’s lightweight allows cases to be easily transported while the contents still enjoy the protection offered by durable thermoplastic.
